St. John's Reads - The Book of Lost Friends
Join us on Wednesday, March 9 at 2pm on Zoom to discuss this historical fiction tale of three women searching for lost family members in the post Civil War South, based on real newspaper ads placed by newly freed slaves trying to locate loved ones in the aftermath of the war. This is also the story of a modern day teacher who knows of these searches and connects students to this lost history, instilling awareness of how far we have come, and the reality of how much there is still left to do.
